We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
1.  Information from your application to open a checking account, savings account or a certificate of deposit, which may include name, address, social security number, and parties to the account;
2.  Information about your transactions and deposit history, account balances, overdraft and return item history with us;
3.  Information provided by you to pursue a loan product or credit card account, which may include net worth, assets, and income;
4.  Information received in the form of a consumer credit report from SARMA or any other credit reporting agency, which may include account balance information and payment history about you; and
5.  Information received from our check verification service, ChexSystems, Inc. which may include overdraft history and/or return history about you.

Nonpublic Personal Information

Ensuring your financial privacy, as well as the financial privacy of our former customers, is of vital importance to us.  We limit employee access to confidential customer financial information to those employees with a business reason for knowing such information.  Our employees are trained to understand the importance of customer financial privacy and to properly handle confidential information.  The Bank provides the Regency Voice System for customers to access their information with the use of personally identifiable number (PIN).

We endeavor to maintain the most accurate and up-to-date customer records possible.   If you find that your account information is not correct, current, or complete, please call or write us at the telephone number or address on your account statement and appropriate corrections will be made to your account.  If you feel we have not met our obligations in the protection or use of your personal information, you may submit a complaint to us.

Disclosures to Non-Affiliated Third Parties

The First National Bank of Mertzon does not disclose, and does not intend to disclose, nonpublic personal information to nonaffiliated third parties, except to certain nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by law.   Disclosures to nonaffiliated third parties are made:  (1) in connection with the administration, processing and servicing of your account, (2) with your consent or at your direction, (3) to protect the confidentiality or security of the institution's records, (4) to protect against or prevent actual or potential fraud, unauthorized transactions, claims or other liability, or (5) to law enforcement agencies to the extent specifically permitted or required under other provisions of law and in accordance with the Right to Financial Privacy Act of 1978.

7.  American General Insurance Company - credit life/accidental health policies for credit card and loan programs.
8.  AuioTel - Internet Banking software
9.  McCoy Myers - PayLinks Online Bill Payment software

We disclose nonpublic personal information about our former customers to other nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by law.
